16-YEAR-OLD KILLED IN BLUE EARTH COUNTY CRASH

The state patrol is investigating a crash in which a 16-year-old was killed Thursday evening at 6:07 pm.  Authorities say a Honda Accord driven by the 16-year-old female from Vernon Center and a Ram pickup driven by 31-year-old Alexei Moreira of Houston, Texas collided on Highway 169 in Vernon Center Township Blue Earth County.  Authorities say the 16-year-old was killed.  Her name has not been released.  Moreira wasn’t hurt.  Vernon Center Fire and the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
