16-YEAR-OLD SERIOUSLY HURT IN COURTLAND SCOOTER CRASH

The Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a collision between a vehicle and a scooter Wednesday evening around 8:25 pm.  Authorities say the crash occured on Nicollet County Road 24 near Collin Drive in Courtland.  A 16-year-old was driving an electric scooter and was struck by a vehicle and was taken by ambulance to MCHS Mankato with serious injuries.  The driver of the vehicle wasn’t hurt.  No names have been released.  The investigation is ongoing but alcohol and drugs are not suspected to be a factor.  The State Patrol, Allina Ambulance and Courtland Fire Department assisted at the scene.
