Sue was born June 3, 1964 to Leo and Arline Schuster in Morris, MN, as the baby of 5 children. She grew up with the no nonsense sensibilities of the farm and the determination of a youngest child.
In 1984, she met her soul mate and great love, Troy Kluver, thanks to her older brothers, Dan and Steve. Sue and Troy married April 12, 1986 and spent many years traveling across America as they trucked coast to coast. They did eventually put down roots in Odin, MN in 1989 where they made a home for 30 years and welcomed two daughters, Samantha (1989) and Katelyn (1995). Sue made a career of improving access to communication as an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter for K-12 students across multiple southern Minnesota school districts.
In 2018, Sue was promoted to Grandma, which was her favorite title yet. She loved, adored, and delighted in all things grandkids and would proudly show off any one of her little loves. When not doting on her grands, she enjoyed cooking, reading, and later in life, birdwatching. She will be remembered for her dedication to her family and the ways her love poured out to them.
Sue is survived by her husband: Troy; daughters: Samantha (Taylor) of New Hope, MN, and Katelyn (Brandon) of Omaha, NE, and seven grandchildren: Levi (8), Eleanor (6), Vivian (6), Leo (6), Amelia (3), Charlotte (3), and Henry (7 months); four siblings: Dan (Vicki), Steve (Sue), Ann (Barry), and Bill (Patricia) and their families; her parents-in-law: Chris and Sharon Kluver; sister-in-law: Connie Johnson and her family; aunts, uncles, and dear family friend Charlotte Olson.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents, step-father, and grandparents.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes you to donate to Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance if you feel moved to.
