2025 Music Awards Canceled- At Least For Now

The 2025 CMT Awards show has been canceled by its parent company Paramount Global.  They are merging with Skydance Media and the deal won’t be completed for another couple months.  Officially the show is on a “pause” and they will re-evaluate for next year.

The 2024 CMT Awards featured Jelly Roll and Lainey Wilson winning the major prizes.  Jelly won Video of the Year for “Need a Favor”  and Lainey won Female Video of the Year for “Watermelon Moonshine”.
