2025 One Act Play Results

Class A One Act Play Starred Performances

Morris Area High School One Act team received a Starred Performance at the State Competition yesterday at O’Shaughnessy Auditorium in St. Paul — the highest honor possible for the event. Unlike other competitions, State One Act does not focus on rankings. Instead, judges evaluate performances and only the best earn a Starred Performance recognition. Kelly White directed their performance of “Yerma.”

This season, 300 teams competed in Class A and only 8 made it to State. Morris was one of four teams to receive a Starred Performance, along with Bagley, New Life Academy of Woodbury, and Belle Plaine, which set a Class A record with their 8th consecutive Starred Performance at State. As a result, the Morris team will bring home a huge plaque from State, as well as a crystal award. This was the 7th time Morris Area received a Starred Performance at State in 13 appearances, and the first time since 2009.

There are seven graduating seniors in the cast and crew: Zach Dietz, Joshua Price, Jackson Hallman, Angela Albrecht, Aria Chatters, Truett Richards, and Abi Alcantar.
