One Dead Following Wrong Way Crash in ND
Authorities are investigating a wrong-way cash that left one person dead Monday afternoon in Barnes County.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Steven Bell (44) was eastbound in the westbound lanes of I-94 at mile marker 278 near Eckelson when the 2025 Toyota Camry he was driving struck a Chevrolet Traverse head-on just before 1pm. Bell was pronounced deceased on scene.
According to the Highway Patrol report, the driver of the Chevy, a 74 year old man from Bismarck, sustained serious, non life-threatening injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Valley City and then to Sanford Hospital in Fargo.
