29 MORE FLU DEATHS IN MINNESOTA, 94 SCHOOL OUTBREAKS
The latest data suggest the flu season could be peaking in Minnesota. Another 29 flu-related deaths were reported the week ending January 18th. There had been a total of 50 until last week. There have not been any pediatric influenza deaths in Minnesota. Ninety-four schools in the state had flu outbreaks compared to 16 the previous week. There were 16 outbreaks in long-term care facilities. The 629 hospitalizations drop slightly from the 774 in the week ending January 11th. State health officials say it’s not too late to get the flu shot.
