Six Arrested in Armed Robbery/Drug and Firearms Seizure
Six people were arrested in two counties related to an investigation of an armed robbery that took place at a residence in Kerkhoven on Thursday afternoon (Sept 4).
The Swift County Sheriff’s Office responded to the initial call and according to the people involved, three males showed up at a residence in Kerkhoven and entered the house with a firearm and stole items. Before leaving, the suspects threatened to kill the occupants of the residence if they reported what happened.
CEE-VI Task Force agents were able to identify the vehicle used in the robbery and the suspects involved. Task force agents obtained a search warrant for a property in Willmar and four suspects were arrested.
Approximately 2 pounds of methamphetamine, ¾ of a pound of cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, morphine pills, an AK47 rifle and a handgun fitting the description of the one used in the armed robbery were located at the residence.
In addition, agents were able to track one of the suspects involved in the robbery to the casino in Granite Falls. During that arrest, the suspect and another person were arrested after agents located approximately 2.5 pounds of methamphetamine and 5.5 pounds of cocaine in their vehicle.
