7-YEAR-OLD HURT IN HECTOR CRASH

The state patrol was called to a collision between a Chevy Equinox and a Hyundai Santa Fe at the intersection of Highway 4 and 4 North Drive in Hector Friday evening at 9:13 pm.  Authorities say the Chevy was driven by 40-year-old Jay Tyler Anderson of Springfield.  He wasn’t hurt but his 7-year-old passenger was taken to Olivia Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  The Hyundai was driven by a 17-year-old female.  Neither she nor her passenger 48-year-old Brenda Johnson of Hector were hurt.  There was snow and ice on the road.  Hector Police and fire departments, Buffalo Lake Fire Department and the Renville County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
