Lynx rally for win
(Minneapolis, MN/Minnesota News Network) — The Minnesota Lynx are on a two-game winning streak after an 80-75 win over the Chicago Sky at the Target Center last night. The Sky missed a game-tying three with under ten seconds left in regulation, and Napheesa Collier put the game away with a pair of free throws. Collier scored 21 points in the victory, while Courtney Williams led the team with 25 points. Former Gopher star Rachel Banham returned to her hometown and poured in 20 points for Chicago. Minnesota trailed the game by 14 points after one quarter before rallying to get a win. The Lynx are in first place in the W-N-B-A at 17-2. They visit the Mercury on Wednesday. In other team news, Collier was named the Western Conference Player of the Month over the weekend, while Williams was added to the W-N-B-A All-Star Game. Collier is a starter and a captain in the All-Star Game, while head coach Cheryl Reeve will coach in the All-Star Game in Indianapolis later this month on July 19th.
