Lynx Defeat Mercury

The Minnesota Lynx got off to a fast start during a 79-66 win over the Phoenix Mercury at the Target Center yesterday. The Lynx outscored Phoenix 21-10 in the first quarter and led the rest of the way. Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve says the Lynx earned this win against a good Mercury team.

Kayla McBride led Minnesota with 18 points in the victory. The Lynx are in first place in the W-N-B-A at 20-4. The visiting Mercury dipped to 15-7. The W-N-B-A All-Star Game is this weekend, so the Lynx will next play at home against Chicago on Tuesday.
