Twins salvage one game vs MLB Worst Rockies
(Denver, CO/Minnesota News Network) — The Minnesota Twins launched four home runs during a 7-1 win over the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. Royce Lewis hit a pair of solo shots in the victory, while Matt Wallner and Harrison Bader also went deep. Joe Ryan earned his tenth win after striking out 11 Rockies hitters and holding Colorado to one run on five hits in seven innings. The Twins avoided being swept with the victory. Mickey Moniak homered in the losing effort, and German Marquez was charged with his 11th loss after surrendering three runs on four hits in three innings. The Rockies are an MLB-worst 24-75. The Twins improved to 48-51 and are in third-place in the A-L Central. Minnesota starts a three-game road series at the Los Angeles Dodgers tonight.
