Dodgers use long ball to beat Twins

(Los Angeles, CA/Minnesota News Network) — The Los Angeles Dodgers put an end to a three-game losing streak with a 5-2 win over the Minnesota Twins in L-A last night. Will Smith came up big at the plate for the Dodgers, going 2-for-4 with two solo home runs. Shohei Ohtani belted his 35th homer of the season and Andy Pages hit his 18th. Dustin May earned the win on the mound after throwing four-and-two-thirds scoreless innings of relief. The Dodgers remain atop the N-L West at 59-42. Byron Buxton hit a lead-off homer, while Kody Clemens had an R-B-I in the losing effort. David Festa was tagged with his fourth loss as the Twins fell to 48-52.
