Gophers Featured At Big Ten Football Media Days

(Minnesota News Network- Las Vegas, NV) — Golden Gopher head coach P-J Fleck spent yesterday in Las Vegas as part of Day Two of Big Ten Football Media Days. Fleck says this annual event signals to him the “start” of the football season and gives him a nervous “pit” in his stomach. Fleck says he and the coaching staff have been preparing all summer for the beginning of fall camp, which is Sunday on campus. Minnesota will have a different starting quarterback to start the season for a fourth straight season. Redshirt freshman Drake Lindsey will be the starter for the Gophers and Fleck says the new Q-B is a “perfect fit” for his program. Fleck says he likes the Lindsey’s mix of confidence and humility. Fleck and the Gophers open the season on Thursday, August 28th at home against Buffalo.
