Twins Win In Walk-Off

(Minnesota news Network- Minneapolis, MN) — Minnesota infielder Brooks Lee came up big for the Twins during a 5-4 win over the Boston Red Sox last night at Target Field. Lee hit a walk-off two-run single in the bottom of the ninth to give Minnesota the win. The game was delayed for 90-minutes between the top of the ninth and the bottom of the ninth due to a thunderstorm. DaShawn Keirsey Jr. homered in the victory, while Jhoan Duran earned his sixth win in relief. Boston reliever Jordan Hicks suffered the loss after allowing two runs on two hits and a pair of hit batters. Boston had its two-game winning streak snapped and dipped to 57-51 on the season. Minnesota is still in fourth place in the A-L Central at 51-55. The Twins take on the Red Sox again tonight at 6:40 P-M.
