Twins Lose In Extra Innings
(Minnesota News Network- Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins continued their free-fall with a 4-2, ten-inning loss to the Athletics at Target Field last night. Genesis Cabrera was charged with his first loss in relief after allowing a two-run homer to Shea Langeliers in the top of the tenth. Trevor Larnach and Brooks Lee each drove in a run during the losing effort. Minnesota went just 2-for-15 with runners in scoring position and left 12 runners on base in the setback. The Twins are in fourth place in the A-L Central at 58-68. The A’s are 58-70 on the year. Minnesota will send Jose Urena to the mound against the A’s this afternoon at 12:10 P-M.
