Report: Kaprizov Turns Down Record-Breaking Contract

(Minnesota News Network- St. Paul, MN) — Minnesota Wild star forward Kirill Kaprizov is reportedly playing hard-to-get. Hockey insider Frank Seravalli is reporting that the Minnesota Wild superstar turned down an eight-year contract extension worth 128-million dollars earlier this week. The deal would have made Kaprizov the highest-paid player in N-H-L history based on both average annual value and total contract value. The 28-year-old scored 25 goals and netted 31 assists in 41 games last season. Meanwhile, the team’s prospects camp is underway in St. Paul.
