Wild Win Pre-Season Game Over Jets

Hot off his contract extension, Kirill Kaprizov led the Wild to a 3-2 preseason win over the Jets on Tuesday night in St. Paul. Kaprizov scored a power play goal and added an assist in the victory on the same day he signed the richest contract in N-H-L history at eight years for 136 million dollars. Wild General Manager Bill Guerin says Kaprizov’s teammates were happy as well with the news.

Matt Boldy and Marcus Foligno also scored as the Wild stopped a three game losing streak and got their first win on home ice. Jesper Wallstedt got the start and recorded his second win of the preseason on 26 saves. The Wild are now 2-2-1 on the preseason and will wrap up the exhibition schedule on Friday night in Chicago.
