FATAL CRASH NEAR EAGLE LAKE

The state patrol has identified the drivers involved in a fatal crash near Eagle Lake Friday morning.  Authorities say a Lexus ES Sedan driven by 20-year-old Valerie Caven of Farmington was traveling eastbound on Highway 14.  A semi driven by  46-year-old Kaise Jama of St. Peter was westbound and the vehicles collided.  Caven was killed in the crash.  Jama wasn’t hurt.  Both drivers wore their seatbelts.  Eagle Lake and Madison Fire Departments, the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office, Mankato Public Safety and MnDOT assisted at the scene.
