Vikings Prepping For Lions
(Minnesota News Network- Eagan, MN) –The Minnesota Vikings will start installing their Week Nine gameplan during their first practice of the week today. The Purple visit the Detroit Lions on Sunday. J-J McCarthy is expected to start at quarterback for the first time since injuring his ankle in Week Two. The Vikings are in last place in the N-F-C North at 3-4. The Lions come out of their bye week second in the N-F-C North at 5-2, just behind the 5-1-and-1 Packers. Sunday’s game kicks off at noon. In other team news, the Vikes released safety K’Von Wallace from the practice squad.
N-F-C North: Packers To Host Panthers (Green Bay, WI) — The Green Bay Packers will be back home this weekend. Green Bay will play the Panthers Sunday at Lambeau Field. The Packers have won their last three meetings with Carolina since 2019. Green Bay enters the matchup at 5-1-and-1, first place in the N-F-C North.
N-F-C North: Bears Make Roster Moves (Lake Forest, IL) — The Chicago Bears are making some roster moves ahead of their Week Nine game against the Bengals. The Bears activated edge rusher Austin Booker from injured reserve yesterday. The second-year rotational player hasn’t played in 2025 after registering one-and-a-half sacks in 2024. Booker played for the Golden Gophers from 2021-22 before transferring to Kansas. Chicago also placed rookie defensive tackle Shemar Turner on season-ending I-R after he tore his A-C-L during Sunday’s loss to the Ravens. Turner had six tackles, including two for a loss, in five games with the Bears this season
