Redevelopment Planned for Hotel Jorgenson Site

Plans are moving forward for a new development on the site of the Hotel Jorgenson on Main Street in Hutchinson.

The City Council this week approved a resolution establishing the site as a Tax Increment Financing District (TIF) which gives the developer certain tax breaks that the developer says will make it possible to move forward.

If all goes according to plan, interior demolition on structure would begin in December and exterior demolition would begin in February.
