Edwards Leads Timberwolves Past Jazz for Third Straight Win

Anthony Edwards poured in 35 points and dished out six assists as the Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Utah Jazz 120–113 on Monday night, earning their second victory over Utah in just four days.

The Timberwolves, who routed the Jazz 137–97 on Friday and crushed Sacramento 144–117 on Sunday, have now won three straight and five of their last six games.

Edwards notched his ninth consecutive game with 30 or more points — the longest such streak ever recorded against the Jazz by any NBA player.

Julius Randle added 27 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists for Minnesota, while Rudy Gobert contributed a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards.

Keyonte George led Utah with 27 points, and Lauri Markkanen followed with 23.

The Jazz closed the first quarter on a 10–0 run, sparked by back-to-back buckets from George, to take a 30–26 lead. George was sharp early, scoring 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting in the opening period.

Minnesota responded in the second quarter with its own 10–0 surge to reclaim the lead at 47–46. Randle ignited the run with two baskets and an assist.

The Timberwolves carried that momentum into the second half, stretching the lead to 66–55 early in the third. Beginning with Randle’s reverse layup to end the first half, Minnesota scored 15 straight points to seize control for good. Edwards led the charge, recording three baskets and setting up two more from Randle during the decisive stretch.
