State Semi-finals High School football:

Class A-Minneota was a 28 to 14 winner over Mahnomen/Waubub and Breckenridge scores late to defeat Murray County Central 28 to 21. Minnesota will try and win their fourth straight title, Saturday at 10am.

Class AAA-Waseca advances to the title game with a 14 to 13 win over Dilworth/Glydon/Felton. The Blue Jays will play Annandale. Annandale was a 36 to 20 winner over Mpls North. Championship Saturday at 1pm.

class AAAAA-chanhassen movces to the final game with a 22 to 19 win over Elk River. Chanhassen will play Spring Lake Park, Saturday at 4pm.

Girl’s Hockey:

Willmar edges New Ulm 2 to 1.

College Football:

Gustavus wraps up the season with a win. The Gusties defeat Macalester 38 to 14, QB Dylan Blount threw for 347 yards and three touchdowns, Eric Lyons Jr. returned an interception 103 yards for a 4th quarter score, as Gustavus finishes the year 5 and 5. Martin Luther picks up a 36 to 14 win over Minnesota-Morris.

College Volleyball:

St Benedict wins the MIAC Conference Tournament, defeating St Olaf 3 to 2. Northwestern wins the UMAC Title, with a 3 to 1 victory over UW/Superior.

NCAA Men’s Soccer (first round)

Augsburg shuts out Occidental 3 to 1 and Edgewood shuts out Gustavus 3 to 0. Round two was Sunday, the Auggies advance to the sweet sixteen with a 1 to nil win over Edgewood.
