MANKATO APARTMENT COMPLEX VICTIM OF AI HOAX

A Mankato apartment complex was reportedly the victim of an AI hoax on social media Wednesday.  Police say an image circulated on social media Wednesday showing The Grove on fire.  The Grove is a complex located near MSU’s campus.  Staff at the building confirmed that the image was not real and was likely generated at AI.  The investigation is ongoing.
