Nancy (Larson) Anderson
Nancy Anderson, age 74 of Stillwater, Minnesota, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026, peacefully in her sleep in Wheaton, MN while visiting her sister Judie.
Nancy Anderson will be remembered, honored, and celebrated with a service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the Wheaton American Legion with lunch immediately following.
Nancy Marie Larson was born on November 25,1951 in Wheaton, MN, to Dorrance and Ora Claire (Rosdahl) Larson. She was the fifth of their seven children- Jean, Judie, Bonnie, Dorry, Nancy, Dayton, and Jana.
Nancy attended school in Wheaton and met Terry Anderson in late grade school. They were a forever couple, graduating together in 1969. They married August 29, 1970 in Wheaton as Terry was attending NDSU. They had two sons, Nathan and Nicholas. Together, Nancy and Terry golfed, traveled, cooked, read, enjoyed nature…and loved deeply. Many of us cannot remember one without the other.
Nancy’s “love language” was gifts. Nancy’s gifts were deeply personal and invariably connected to something you may have knowingly or unknowingly mentioned to her. It was her way of letting you know that she was thinking of you and you were important to her. If you knew Nancy, you can probably remember a gift she brought to you. You might still have it.
She was a caregiver. She earned her nursing degree at Metro State University and worked many years as Director of Nursing at Sholom Home in St. Paul. For the past several years her caregiving focused on Terry who has been challenged by Alzheimer’s, first at home and then as a resident at Good Life in Hugo, MN. Her devotion to Terry was a steady force of motivation and inspiration to all who knew and loved her.
Nancy was survived by her husband: Terry; her sons: Nate (Rohini) Anderson of North Oaks, MN, Nic Anderson of St. Paul, MN; grandchildren: Mady Anderson, Brady Anderson, Yash Narasimhan, Simon Anderson, Tyler Anderson, and Ayush Narasimhan; as well as her two sweet cats Lucky and Leo; sisters: Jean (Clyde) Olson of Duluth, MN, Judie (Lynel) Larson of Wheaton, MN, Jana (Joe) Rockne of Traverse City, MI; brother: Dayton (Teri) Larson of Orono, MN; sister-in-law: Nancy Larson of Brookings, South Dakota; brother-in-law: Gregg (Judi) Anderson of Osakis, MN; and nephews and nieces from across the United States.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her father-in-law and mother-in-law Vernell and Lucy Anderson; brother: Dorry; sister Bonnie; nephews: Mikkel Rockne and Shaun Olson: and grand nephews: Justin Fiedler and Josh Olson.
Arrangements are with Bainbridge Funeral Home in Wheaton, MN.
