FISH HOUSE REMOVAL DEADLINES APPROACHING

The DNR is reminding you to start planning for removing your fish house from area lakes as ice conditions continue to deteriorate.  Removal deadline is Monday at 11:59 pm for inland waters in the southern two-thirds of the state and Thursday, March 5 for Minnesota-South Dakota and North Dakota border waters.  You may still fish after removal deadlines, but shelters on the ice between midnight and 1 am have to be attended or occupied.  The DNR also wants you to pick up and properly dispose of any trash as part of removing your shelter from the ice.  You can find out more information and other deadline dates on the DNR’s ice shelter webpage.
