Empowering Communities, Celebrating Minnesota Locally

Again, Scam Calls Reported in MN

Reports of scam calls continue across the listening area.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, multiple reports of scam calls have been received by their office. Authorities say the callers identify themselves as Polk County Employees and tell people that “they missed jury duty and a warrant was issued for their arrest”. Payment is then requested over the phone “to satisfy the warrant”.

This is a scam. Hang up on the caller and report the call to local law enforcement.
