AIR QUALITY ALERT ISSUED FOR MINNESOTA

Wildfire smoke from wildfires in Canada is pushing south and compromising air quality in  parts of the country,  Air quality in the Arrowhead is deemed unhealthy for people and animals sensitive to pollution and other airborne particles.  Meteorologists forecast particulates from burning trees or leaves could reach further south so the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency has issued an Air quality alert for all of Minnesota through Monday evening.  The Air Quality Index focuses on health effects that might be experienced within a few hours or days after breathing polluted air.
