Alan L. Holland
Alan L. Holland, age 68 of Starbuck, Minnesota, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025, unexpectedly of natural causes at his home in Starbuck, MN.
Celebration of Life gathering for Alan L. Holland will be held Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Minnewaska House, 24895 State Highway 28, Glenwood, MN. A casual prayer will be at 12:30, and all are welcome to attend.
He grew up in Maple Lake, Minnesota and graduated from Maple Lake High School, Class of 1975. He was united in marriage to Suzanne Schaufler on September 6, 1980, at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Cyrus where Al started work for his stepfather, Richard, at Morris Blacktop. In 1982, he started Morris Sealcoat & Trucking “with a squeegee and a pail”. Al was a hard worker at heart, owning multiple businesses throughout the years with his wife. He loved his job and the challenge of being the boss, giving advice to anyone who needed it, but the one thing he loved more than work was his family. Their marriage was blessed with two children, along with seven grandchildren.
Outside of working hard, Al enjoyed snowmobiling, traveling, ice fishing, playing cards, checking out online auctions, and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife: Sue Holland; stepmother: Janice Holland; children: Stacy (Justin) Stearns and Steven (Renee) Holland; six grandchildren, Caden, Cullen, Nora, Layne, Jace, and Quinn; siblings: Allison Alama and Clint Alama.
He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon; mother, Maggie; stepfather, Richard; sister, Linda; and grandchild, Collin.
