Alexander Joszeph Eotvos III

Alexander Joszeph Eotvos III, age 62 of Montgomery, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 5th, 2025 at the Mayo Clinic Hospital – New Prague Campus. Alex was born in Duluth, Minnesota to Alexander II and Judy (Mehlum) on February 4th, 1962.

Alex was a master of tinkering with anything that had an engine or could be taken apart and reassembled until he was satisfied. He was the proud owner and operator of A&J Welding in the Phoenix and Scottsdale, AZ, areas for many years where he was responsible for many high-profile projects that required his steady hands and a welding torch. He loved to flex his creative mind in everything he did and was a lifetime Harley Davidson rider.

Alex will always be remembered by his children, Jolene Eotvos, Jeromy (Katelyn) Eotvos, Elizabeth (Jason) McCanna, Samantha (Alan) Haugberg; cherished grandchildren, Adian Hiler, Izak Hiller, Hayley Young, in addition to Layton, Ryann, and Carter Eotovos as well as Kadin, Jenah, Camden, Jada, Damian, James, & Levi McCanna, and Stacia, Austen, Audrina, & Shay Haugberg; his life partner of 127 1/2 years, Jeanne Bachkora; as well as his other extended family and many friends.

A Celebration of Alex’s Life will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, January 14th at Alex and Jeanne’s home, 17046 State Highway 99, Montgomery, MN 56069.
