Allen Dennis Koepp

Allen Dennis Koepp, age 65 of Belle Plaine, passed away peacefully on December 28 th , 2024, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee, MN. Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 3, 2025 at St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine, MN. Rev, Diane Goulson will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. at Kolden Funeral Home on Thursday, January 2, 2025 and continue one hour prior to the service at church on Friday morning. Interment will in Oakwood Cemetery.

Allen was born on March 28 th , 1959, to Frederick and Mary (Ruehling) Koepp. He was baptized, confirmed, and a life-long member at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. He was the 4 th of 5 children, and he loved growing up on the family farm with his siblings. He graduated in 1977 from Belle Plaine High School. After high school he farmed for many years with his father on the dairy farm. He met his best friend and high school sweetheart, Sally, at the age of 15. They were married on September 13 th , 1980, at Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic Church. Their marriage was blessed with 44 years together and three children, Laura, Karla, and Benjamin.

After the many years of farming, Allen attended Hennepin Technical College pursing accounting. He decided to switch careers and spent the rest of his working years in the plastic industry. He worked at Emplast/Empak and then in 2019 he retired from Entegris. He was an avid gardener, loved going for drives to look at the crops, watching deer in the backyard, and giving rides to his grandchildren on the lawn mower. He loved reading the newspaper, bowling, gardening, Minnesota sports, casinos and camping. Allen was a devoted husband, dad, grandpa and great grandpa who found his greatest joy in family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones. Rest in peace, Allen. You will forever be remembered.

He is survived by his wife, Sally; Children, Laura (Nate) Perkins of Belle Plaine, Karla (Charles Hager) Koepp of Belle Plaine, Benjamin (Amanda Fitzwater) Koepp of Vermillion; Grandchildren Amara, Aneesa, Weston, Roland, Ethan, Kaylee, Chase, Klara, Kalli, Khloe, and Levi; Great-grandchild, Carson; Mother, Mary; Siblings, Dave (Char) Koepp of Jordan, Karen Dobesh of Le Sueur, Sharon (Duane) Wolters of Arlington, and Brent (Wendy) Koepp; Sister/Brother-in-laws, Pam (Kevin) Koepp, Paul Hennen, Mary Kay (Scott) Lundborg, Ronald Schmidt, and Carol (Michael) Wentworth. Many other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Frederick Koepp. Parents-in-law, Erwin and Catherine Schmidt. Brother-in-law, Lynn Dobesh and sister-in-law, Ann Hennen.
