AMPI TO SELL NEW ULM BUTTER PLANT

AMPI has announced it is selling the New Ulm butter plant to Grassland Dairy Products in Greenwood,  Wisconsin.  AMPI has several cheese plants in the upper midwest and AMPI Marketing Vice President Sarah Schmidt says as the board of directors looks forward, they see an opportunity to increase their investment in the cheese market…

AMPI has several plants across the upper Midwest.  Schmidt says New Ulm will continue to operate the butter plant and continue make Dinner Bell Butter and she says the corporate office will also remain in New Ulm.  She says the sale is expected to close by the end of the year.
