ANOTHER ROUND OF SEVERE WEATHER HITS SOUTHERN MINNESOTA
Another round of severe weather Thursday afternoon in Freeborn County. The National Weather Service says a trained spotter confirmed a tornado was on the ground a few miles west of Hayward around 1:30 pm. There were also downed trees and powerlines in the Albert Lea area. Officials say a funnel cloud or possible tornado was caught on video near Owatonna. Several communities had street flooding Thursday. These storms came after at least a dozen tornado reports Wednesday in southern Minnesota. The tornado that damaged a farm near Hartland was rated an EF-1 with wind speeds up to 105 miles per hour.
