ARLINGTON WOMAN HURT IN CAR VS. DEER NEAR WINTHROP

The state patrol was called to a car vs. deer collision Thursday evening at 8:16 pm on Highway 19 a mile east of Winthrop.  Authorities say a Chevy Impala driven by 24-year-old Samantha Leighton of Arlington was westbound on Highway 19 and struck the deer.  Leighton was taken to Hutchinson Health with non-life threatening injuries.   The Sibley County Sheriff’s Office, Gaylord Police department and Winthrop fire and ambulance assisted at the scene.
