Attempted Abduction in Meeker County

The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance for information regarding an attempted juvenile abduction.

On Wednesday (April 3) at 7:52 PM, the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an attempted juvenile abduction in the area of Highway 9 and Highway 33 in Ellsworth Township (Lake Stella Area).

Authorities say the 13-year-old victim reported an adult male in a red Ford truck pulled them into the vehicle at the end of their driveway. The victim was able to get out of the vehicle within a short time and ran to a nearby residence.

Anyone with information regarding any suspicious vehicles or seeing anything suspicious in the area is asked to contact the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office dispatch center at (320) 693-5400.
