Augsburg heads to D3 Frozen Four

(River Falls, WI) — The second-ranked Augsburg women’s hockey team will compete in the N-C-A-A Division III Women’s Hockey Frozen Four this weekend in River Falls, Wisconsin. The Auggies advanced to Friday’s national semifinal game against top-ranked UW-River Falls with a 4-2 win last Saturday over St. Norbert (WI). Augsburg is 24-3-and-1 on the season. The host Falcons are 24-3-and-2. Friday’s game will face off at 7 P-M. Middlebury (VT) takes on Amherst (MA) in the other semifinal on Friday at 3 P-M. The D-III national title game will be Sunday at 3 P-M. W-H Hunt Arena in River Falls is the host venue.
