Authorities ID Victim in Wright County Boating Accident

(Monticello, MN) — A 28-year-old Monticello man is the victim of a deadly boat accident on Tuesday on the Mississippi River near the Xcel Energy plant.

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office reports that a fishing boat capsized, leaving three men in the water.

Deputies say 66-year-old Mark Tasche and 18-year-old Tristan Tasche were located safely on shore, and 28-year-old Tyler Tasche was found unresponsive.

Tyler Tasche was treated by paramedics at the scene but did not survive.

The incident remains under investigation.
