AUTHORITIES IDENTIFY WOMAN FOUND DEAD IN ST. PETER FIRE

Authorities have identified the woman found dead during a fire in St. Peter last week.  84-year-old Joann Marie Sargent was found dead in the townhome when police arrived.  A Gustavus Adolphus security officer reported smelling smoke on April 23 around 3 am.  Police responded to the area on Pratt Circle.  Officers walked around to the back of the home and saw a person inside.  There has been no cause of death released yet but Police Chief Matt Grochow says foul play is not suspected.  The fire was mainly contained to the townhouse.
