Beverly A. Giese

Beverly Giese, age 94 of Morris, Minnesota, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025, at The Legacy in Morris, MN.

Visitation for Beverly Giese will be held Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris, MN.

Memorial services for Beverly A. Giese will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris, MN, with Father Todd Schneider officiating.

Burial will be in Summit Cemetery in Morris, MN.

Beverly Ann Lonergan was born on October 17, 1931, in Morris, Minnesota the daughter of Maurice and Ethel (Martinson) Lonergan. She received her education at St. Mary’s and Morris Public Schools and graduated from Morris High School in 1949. Following her schooling, she began working at Northwestern Bell and the Morris Theater.

On March 3, 1951, in a blizzard, she married Robert Giese at Assumption Parish House in Morris. The couple farmed by Hancock until 1965 and then moved to Morris.

Along with being a wife and mother, Beverly worked as a switchboard operator at the local telephone company. She retired from the telephone company after transitioning from an operator to office staff when the phone company went automated.

She enjoyed sewing (making many items for her family and others), reading, walking and especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Beverly was a member of Assumption Catholic Church all of her life.

Survived by her children: Steve (Carol) Giese of Morris, MN, Mary Pedersen of Ivanhoe, MN, and Jane Giese of Warren, Arkansas; sisters: Arlene Nevland of Yuma, Arizona, Addie Fowld of Columbia Heights, MN, and Margo Lonergan of Minneapolis, MN; six grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Maurice and Ethel; husband: Robert Giese; son-in-law: Doug Pedersen; brothers: Jerry, Keith, and Don Lonergan; and sister: Pat Proudfoot.

Arrangements are with Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris, MN.
