BICYCLIST CRITICALLY HURT IN SLEEPY EYE CRASH

A Sleepy Eye woman was critically hurt when the bicycle she was riding was hit by a pickup in Sleepy Eye Monday evening.  The state patrol, Sleepy Eye Police and ambulance were called at 7:38 to Highway 4 at Walnut Street Southwest where a Ford F150 driven by 85-year-old Donald Billmeier of Sleepy Eye had collided with the bicycle driven by  74-year-old Susan Joy Pederson of Sleepy Eye.  She was taken to the Sleepy Eye Medical Center with life threatening injuries.  She was not wearing a helmet.  Billmeier wasn’t hurt.
