Blue Jays Defeat Twins
The Minnesota Twins lost to Toronto at Target Field on Friday, 6-4. Trevor Larnach hit a homer in the first inning, and Kody Clemens and Christian Vazquez had R-B-I hits as the Twins built up a 3-0 lead after two innings. Twins manager Rocco Baldelli says the Twins couldn’t add on after the early 3-0 lead.
Toronto rallied to take a 4-3 lead by the fifth inning, and the lead grew to 6-3 before the Twins scored one run in the eighth on an R-B-I single by Royce Lewis, who went 3-for-3 in the game. Starter Bailey Ober takes the loss and falls to 4-2 on the year. He pitched seven innings, giving up five runs on five hits, one walk and four strikeouts. This was game one of a three-game series.
