Body Found on Nest Lake

The body of a Kansas man that had been kayaking on Nest Lake in Kandiyohi County has been found.

The Sheriff’s Office says the body of 39-year-old Shane White of Overland Park, Kansas has been positively identified.

White went kayaking Saturday night and then failed to return to his vacation rental.

At just before 9am Tuesday, divers with the Sheriff’s Office recovered the body on the southwest side of the lake away from the shore in 11 feet of water.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office and the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office.
