BODY OF 15-YEAR-OLD RECOVERED FROM COTTONWOOD COUNTY LAKE

Authorities have recovered the body of the 15-year-old boy who went missing on a lake near Mountain Lake Monday evening.  Authorities say the body was recovered in about four-and-a-half feet of water around 11:30 this (Wednesday) morning.   The teen went missing when he jumped out of a canoe on Eagle Lake in Carson Township to retrieve an oar.  He tried to swim back to the canoe but wind kept pushing it away.  Family members lost sight of the boy and multiple agencies conducted a search.  No lifejackets were in the canoe.  The investigation is continuing.
