Boelter’s Wife Files for Divorce Following Lawmaker Shooting Charges

(Gaylord, MN) — The wife of the Green Isle man accused of shooting two Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses is filing for divorce. Jenny Boelter submitted the petition on September 3rd in Sibley County Court, seeking to end her marriage to Vance Boelter. He faces both state and federal charges in connection with the June 14th assassination of House Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, and the shootings of Senator John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette. Boelter’s next federal court appearance is November 12th.
