BOLD SCHOOL BOARD VOTES TO SEARCH FOR NEW SUPERINTENDENT
The BOLD School Board voted to search for a new superintendent Monday. The board rescinded action to negotiate a new contract with current Superintendent Jim Menton and go ahead with searching for a replacement. The district is trying to overcome an approximately $700,000 budget deficit this year. A criminal investigation is underway after the district’s former business manager resigned after the audit was released in September. Menton told the board Monday that he takes responsibility for the situation but was under the impression he would be given the chance to rectify the situation. Menton was hired as Superintendent in 2021.
