BOMB THREAT AT SLEEPY EYE

Sleepy Eye schools started two hours late this (Thursday) morning after a bomb threat toward St. Mary’s School was discovered on an FBI social media monitoring site.  The Brown County Sheriff’s Department was notified of the threat this (Thursday) morning at 5:51 am.  Authorities contacted the schools, a search was done and authorities determined that there is no credible threat to the safety of the students.  Normal operations at Sleepy Eye schools resumed at 10 am.  A release by the sheriff’s office says a 16-year-old female is a person of interest.  The investigation is ongoing.
