Bradley “Brad” Foss

Brad Foss, age 74 of Hancock, Minnesota, passed away Friday, July 11, 2025, surrounded by his family at Essentia Health in Fargo, North Dakota.

Visitation for Brad Foss will be on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Morris Evangelical Free Church.

Memorial services for Bradley Foss will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at the Morris Evangelical Free Church, in Morris, MN, with Reverend Hector Franco officiating.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Hancock, MN.

Bradley Henry Foss, was one of five children born to Harry and Isabell (Swanberg) Foss on February 18, 1951, in Morris, Minnesota. Brad grew up in Hancock and was baptized and confirmed at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church. He received his education in Hancock, graduating with the Hancock High School, class of 1969. While Brad was in school, he worked part-time at the Zip Bell Grocery Store. Following his schooling, Brad moved to Minneapolis for a time and worked as a meat cutter, he returned to Hancock and continued to work as a meat cutter in Morris and Hancock. Brad began his career with Hancock Concrete and worked there for 17 years, at that time, they merged with Superior and Brad continued at Superior. Never wanting to quit working, Brad was still currently employed at Superior. During his first marriage, Brad was blessed with three children: Stephanie, Stacy, and Rick. Later, through friends and a bible study at church, Brad was introduced to Linda Mumm, the two began dating and were married on March 23, 2002, at the Morris Evangelical Free Church. They blended their family, and Brad gained four more children: Andrea, Laura, Grace, and Matt. Over the years, they were blessed to add 22 grandchildren!

Brad was a member of the Morris Evangelical Free Church. He LOVED to talk to people, making anyone and everyone laugh – he was a hoot! Brad enjoyed hunting, fishing, cruising in his black pickup. He always had it clean. He looked forward to their annual family camping trips at Glacial Lakes State Park, south of Starbuck, and weekends at the lake, at Pelican Lake in Long Beach. He and Linda traveled on many road trips – with destinations such as: Duluth, the Badlands, Stillwater, and Chase on the Lake, in addition to going out on local dates.

Survived by his wife: Linda Foss of Hancock, MN; children: Stephanie (Spencer) Johnson of New London, MN, Andrea (Adam) Wink of Cyrus, MN, Laura (Brad) Sjolander of Hancock, MN, Grace (Doug) Flaten of Moorhead, MN, Stacy (Jon) Minke of Hancock, MN, Matt (Abby) Mumm of Fergus Falls, MN, and Rick (Alexandra) Foss of Glenwood, MN; twenty-two grandchildren; brother: Mark Foss of Cyrus, MN; sisters: Annette (Dave) Muitzel of Spicer, MN, and Lori (Scott) Doty of New London, MN; mother-in-law: Bonita Smith of Morris, MN; sisters-in-law: Teresa (Joe) Pignato of Cottage Grove, MN, Diana (Matt) Hedstrom of Detroit Lakes, MN, Dorinda (Forrest) Mote of Amarillo, Texas, and Shelley Brackin of Pella, Iowa; brother-in-law: John Foldenour; nieces and nephews: Chad, Mike, Josh, Jenny, Britany, Kelsey, Derrick, and Brendon; extended family and a host of friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Harry and Isabel Foss; sister: Lynn Hommerding; sister-in-law: Vivian Flodenour; brother-in-law: Tim Brackin; and father-in-law: Darrell Smith.
