Brainerd Man Injured After Crashing Into Squad Vehicle That Was Making a U-Turn
A Brainerd area man was injured Thursday after the motorcycle he was driving struck a Crow Wing County Sheriff’s squad vehicle that was making a U-turn South of Brainerd.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Dakota William Beehner (18) was injured when the 2004 Suzuki Motorcycle he was driving struck a 2020 Ford Explorer driven by Aidan James Bartels (25) of Baxter. According to the report, both vehicles were southbound on Country Road 45 when Bartels made a U-turn. The motorcycle t-boned the squad vehicle near Cook Road just after 7pm.
Beehner was taken to Saint Joes Hospital in Brainerd and treated for injuries troopers at the scene described as non-life threatening. Bartels suffered no apparent injury.
The crash is under investigation.
