Braun invited to try out for Team USA

(Minneapolis, MN/Minnesota News Network) — Golden Gopher women’s basketball star Mara Braun of Wayzata has been invited to take part in the 2025 U-S-A Women’s AmeriCup Team Trials in Colorado Springs starting next week. Braun missed most of last season with Minnesota with a foot injury, but is now healthy and ready to get back on the floor. The team trials are a tryout for the U-S at the FIBA (fee-buh) Women’s AmeriCup in Chile from June 28th through July 6th. Braun was a member of Team U-S-A in the 2023 FIBA 3×3 Nations League Final. She is one of 21 college players trying out for the AmeriCup team.
