BUSY EVENING FOR THE RENVILLE COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

The Renville County Sheriff’s Office had a busy Wednesday evening.  Deputies were called around 8:37 pm to County Road 2 about two miles north of Redwood Falls in Beaver Falls Township.  The preliminary investigation shows a Chrysler Sebring driven by 20-year-old Jaiden Henjum of Kerkoven left the road and struck a field approach.  He wasn’t injured but was arrested for driving while impaired.  The second call came in four minutes later to Highway 212 just east of Renville.  Authorities say 62-year-old Jamie Abrahamson of Montevideo had a cancelled driver’s license and was also driving impaired.  He also was taken into custody.  The final incident reported at 10:22 on Renville County Road 16 north of County Road 11 about eight miles north of Hector.  A Chevy Silverado driven by 29-year-old Ruben Valdez of Mankato left the road and sheered off a power pole before rolling.  Valdez wasn’t hurt but was arrested for driving while impaired.
